I was raised in an all crip neighborhood and saw both the beauty and pain from the effects of gang culture. I chose to document crips photographically to show the art, humanity and authenticity amongst the blues. While moving away from the stoicism that popular culture has placed upon the group. The title is a nod to Marvin Gaye’s hit single.
